Soundwave carries her drinker to the west coast, to the golden shores of California where craft ale is nectar. She is the driest of Siren’s ales – full with flavour but subtle with bitterness.
Her resinous finish will pull you off balance.

Know what gives an IPA a real groovy kick? Rye. Why? Because rye lets the hops take you away. Simcoe, Citra and Amarillo will open your mind like a parachute (it only works when it’s open). Only then will you become Supa Fly.
Approximately 8% of the grist is made up of Rye malt. Rye is great for enhancing hop flavour as it can impart a spicy characteristic to the finished beer. It also adds some body and mouthfeel. To counter the increased body, more bittering hops have been added in the kettle.

Yeast: American
Malts:
Maris Otter, Munich, Caramunich, Chocolate.
Hops:
Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo.

This is a truly different beer. The concept was to develop the flavour and mouthfeel of Limoncello and fuse with the carbonation and lemony hop hit of an IPA. Using pale and wheat malts, the base beer goes through a 24 hour sour process to add to the tartness of the beer. Tons of lemon zest and juice are added to the boil along with all the citrusy lemony hops available

Brewed to celebrate Siren’s first anniversary. The 2013 vintage is the first in a series that will feature a different blended barrel-aged barley wine each year. Limited to a single release per year, this beer is a truly special offering that can be cellared and enjoyed well into the future.

It pours deep mahogany brown with a medium creamy beige head. The nose is soft, creamy, wood, toffee, vanilla, pear, apple, candied fruit, brown bread, light spice, raisin, sultana and a touch of marshmallow. The taste is bitter-sweet, toffee, varnish, pine, leather, raisin, fig, sultana, wood, light warming alcohol and citrus peel. Full body, fine carbonation and soft mouth-feel. Smooth and very balanced indeed. Drinks dangerously well for this abv.
